MAKING A CLAIM

You may contact us by telephone, drop in at our offices or submit your claim enquiry on line.  Whichever you choose, you will need to give us some brief details of your claim, such as:

  • the date of your accident;

  • brief details of the circumstances surrounding your accident;

  • the nature of your injury;

  • who you believe is to blame.

Our first step will then be to arrange to meet you to discuss your claim in more detail, so that we are able to give you advice on whether you have a claim and, if so, how likely it is to succeed.

We will ask you to bring the following documents to this initial meeting with you:

  • your passport or a valid photo-card driver's licence;

  • a recent utility bill, bank/building society statement or tenancy agreement;

  • your household contents insurance policy;

  • your buildings insurance policy;

  • your motor insurance policy.

Additionally, if you have any credit cards, we will ask you to bring with you the credit card conditions documentation.  This is only so that we may assess any insurance conditions that may be included.

We need to see these documents to satisfy the requirements of various regulations that govern our work.  You can find out more details of why we need to see these documents here.
